Pay: $18
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8 am to 4:30 pm
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
1. Operate packaging machinery such as roll stock machines, vacuum sealers, and labeling machines.
2. Monitor the packaging process to ensure that products are packaged according to specifications, including weight, size, and labeling requirements.
3. Inspect packaged products for quality, including checking for proper sealing, labeling accuracy, and any defects in packaging.
4. Adhere to strict sanitation and quality standards in this fast pace production role.
Job Requirements:
Skills and Abilities:
- Must be 18 year of age or older.
- Previous experience in a meat processing or packaging environment preferred.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
- Ability to operate packaging machinery and equipment.
- Attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in packing processes.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Flexibility to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
- Ability to fluently read, write, speak and understand English.
Environment and Physical Demand Requirements
· Required to stand, sit, walk, push, pull, lift, climb, reach overhead and bend to the floor regularly throughout work day.
· Production room temperatures less than 45 degrees.
· High noise levels from operating machines.
· Skin exposure to animal fat, grease, and chemicals.
· Must be able to regularly lift, carry and move 50 pounds.
