Westaff is looking to hire an Accounting Assistant for a company in Hamden, CT!
Hours: Monday-Friday 8:30am-5:00pm
Salary range: $52k-$60k per year, depending on experience
The Accounting Assistant will be responsible for:
Provide direct support to the Accounting Department responsibilities
Accurately prepare and record journal entries
Accurately reconcile bank accounts and general ledger accounts
Set up new Vendor accounts, including collecting and maintaining vendor department as necessary, including A/R collections, entering and reconciling A/P invoices
Investigate discrepancies and resolve customer billing issues Prepare and generate monthly financial reports
Prove Credit Card receipts to General Ledger and make journal entry to transfer funds Support procedures for online billing and customer billing portal access
Engage in and facilitate exceptional team communication and collaboration to ensure that all customer and vendor needs, and company objectives are fulfilled.

Minimum Qualifications:
Previous ERP Experience, preferred
5-10 years of experience with accounting processes, principles, and regulations
Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and Power Point)
