Job Description:

Our fast-growing company is adding to the team a self-motivated and energetic Operations Manager to manage the overall core functions of the company. Summit Energy Group provides project and construction management services to our clients who develop and build some of the largest utility scale infrastructure and renewable power plants in the United States. We currently have over 50 consultants operating in over 20 states and average 50% growth per year. This position will direct, build upon, optimize and coordinate the operations of the company to continue stable, scalable growth in the market. This person will be expected to provide inspired leadership for the overall operations of the company which includes making important policy and strategic decisions.   

Compensation:

Exempt, Salary $83,000-$97,000 

Location:

Gallatin Valley, Montana.  Some travel required; less than 10%

Preferred Background:

Bachelors degree or Masters in Business Management. At least 5-7 years in similar role and responsibilities. Background or minors in Human Resources is preferred.

  • Computer skills MS word, Excel, QuickBooks and MS PowerPoint, general troubleshooting
  • Effective communication; written and verbal
  • Comprehensive knowledge of HR principals and application
  • "Big picture" thinking skills to address top-level concerns and find the best path forward from all available data
  • Interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with both executives and employees to create and administer policies
  • A thorough understanding of financial and budgeting processes and principles
  • Strong personal and professional judgment
  • Ability to respond quickly to a shifting reality and adjust initiatives and priorities accordingly
  • Excellent organizational skills and the flexibility to jump from priority to priority

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and review operational policies and procedures to facilitate company growth
  • Anticipate and track operational and tactical risks and provides strategic solutions
  • Identify trends and assesses opportunities to improve processes and execution
  • Identify and address problems and opportunities for the company
  • Work closely with team to ensure all operational, administrative, and compliance functions within the company are being properly executed in accordance with regulatory-based best practice.
    • Oversee and administer compliance with legal and HR regulations
  • Facilitate Client and employee relations
  • Procurement and management of sub suppliers and vendors
  • Serve as the main point of contact and provide solutions when issues arise in the following areas:
    • Operational budget
    • Technology (software procurement and troubleshooting)
    • Health Insurance
    • Per Diem
    • Personnel issues
  • General payroll oversight
  • Assist President in Strategic Planning and Portions of company forecasts and financials
  • Market research
  • Marketing job openings/job postings
  • Contribute to and facilitate interviewing and selecting candidates
  • Co-Develop and manage operations budget
  • Management of office staff
