Position overview: This position is responsible for maintaining the records of the court and performing the duties prescribed by the judge and by law.  This position is also responsible for keeping all books, papers, and records filed with the court; for collecting, tracking, and processing all monies received by the court through fees, fines, bonds, and restitution; for attending hearings and clerking in the courtroom when required by the judge; for preparing documents, orders, and correspondence for the court as may be required by law or the judge; for scheduling and maintaining a monthly calendar; for issuing and maintaining a record of qualified jurors; and for preparing hearings.

Each category listed below makes up a portion of the duties of this position and all other functions are included in Other Duties as Assigned. All duties below are essential functions unless otherwise indicated. Duties of the position are not all inclusive and subject to change.

  1. To complete timely and with accuracy  all aspects of the court process including:  set up, and maintain all criminal and civil records filed with the court, process all traffic and criminal citations issued in Park County by six separate law enforcement agencies, process all criminal complaints from the county attorney’s office for misdemeanors and felonies, maintain documentation of all records of proceedings in every case, process all civil cases in Park County including landlord/tenant, actions for the recovery of money, actions for damages, and to recover personal property. Issue and maintain proper civil forms which include: summons, complaint, praecipe, default judgments, etc. Schedule pre-trial conferences and civil trials. Issue writs of possession and sheriff standby orders.  Process temporary and permanent orders of protection. Track all cases for defendant compliance and implement procedures for defendants who violate sentence conditions. Attend hearings and clerk in the courtroom for the judge. Operate the video arraignment equipment. Maintain court calendar. Schedule Omnibus, show cause, eviction, and other hearings. Schedule jury, bench, and civil trials. 
  1. To provide professional, courteous and friendly customer service to the citizens of Park County by greeting and assisting the public in a respectful and responsive manner. Provide proper legal forms and accurate instructions to the public. Maintain strict confidentiality of information and non-judgment of individuals. Keep informed of legislative changes necessary to assist the public.
  1. To complete with accuracy and efficiency the Administrative functions of the office such as; process and distribute court documents to various agencies such as: law enforcement agencies, attorneys, detention centers, counseling agencies, Motor Vehicle Division, public defender’s office, county attorney’s office, treasurer’s office, transfer conviction information to appropriate agencies, conduct research via computer, indexes, files, and dockets, maintain list of qualified jurors, juror attendance, and claim forms, prepare correspondence for the court, and transfer appeals to District Court within the time period allowed.
  1. To process monetary transactions timely and with accuracy such as; collect and process all monies received through fines, fees, bonds, and restitution, disburse funds for restitution and bonds and prepare daily bank deposits, as well as weekly and monthly financial reports.

Position overview: The purpose of this position is threefold - to manage and coordinate noxious weed control efforts, to manage and carry out all junk vehicle efforts, and to manage and coordinate mosquito control efforts in Park County.

The Weed Department implements an effective noxious weed management program for the protection of our agriculture, natural resources, biodiversity, and ecosystem’s integrity. The Weed Coordinator is responsible for managing County right-of-way and property from the degrading impacts of noxious weeds. This is accomplishedby implementing sound policies and procedures of integrated pest management that includes: monitoring, prevention, herbicide application, biological control, mechanical controland cultural control, as well as educating the public to handle weeds on private, state, and federal lands in Park County. This includes performing administrative, supervisory and technical duties in support of the operation of and ensuring that employees properly apply herbicides in accordance with federal, state and county laws.

The Junk Vehicle Program works with community members to remove their junk vehicles and recycle them through the Montana Department of Environmental Quality. On occasion, the program may assist the Park County Sheriff’s Office with the recycling of abandoned vehicles that are handled through their office.

The Mosquito Control Program responsibilities include administrative and budgetary roles with oversight of the seasonal employee. The Supervisor ensures that the employee is filling out appropriate daily application records, is handling and mixing insecticides correctly, and handles any complaints that need additional attention.  The supervisor on occasion may perform insecticide application.

Education and Experience:

Education: Completion of a bachelor’s degree in Integrated Pest Management, Environmental Science, Rangeland Ecology, Rangeland Management, Botany, Agriculture or related field 

Experience:Recent work experience of at least 3-5 years of weed control management or a related field

Certifications, Licenses, etc.:

Valid Montana driver’s license

State Issued Government Pesticide Applicator License- or be required to pass exam within 1 month of hire for Regulatory Weed and Mosquito Abatement

State Issued Pesticide Dealer License- or be required to pass exam within 1 month of hire

Montana Noxious Weed Free Forage Inspection License- or be required to pass exam within 1 month of hire

THE POSITION

The Development Director holds primary responsibility for the design, implementation, and administration of funding sources to support the mission of the Florence Crittenton Home and Services.   • A bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communication, Non-Profit Management or similar is required;
  • Minimum 5 years of fundraising experience is required;
  • Minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience is required;
  • The ability to inspire others and engage all types of people is a necessity;
  • An understanding of an attachment-based approach to parenting is preferred;
  • Planned Giving and Capital Campaign experience are also preferred.

The Position

The Person

Education and Experience:

 

  • A High School Diploma or equivalent qualification is required;
  • An Associates or bachelor’s degree in Facility Management or a similar field is preferred;
  • 3 or more years of experience with Facility Maintenance is required;
  • Experience with and knowledge of city building codes and permits is required;

Experience and Education

  3. Knowledge of CACFP requirements also desirable.

  • Adheres to safety precautions including hazardous wastes and proper sharps disposal.
  • Participates in hospital and unit specific practices to maintain clean, safe and comfortable environment for patients and staff.
  • Reports any faulty equipment or unsafe conditions to supervisor.
  • Covers, labels and dates all food for storage. Maintains proper food safety, cleaning and sanitary standards in work area.

Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of standards of food preparation, sanitation and food safety which are typically acquired with formal cooking classes, food safety classes and on the job experience of at least one year.
  • Experience in a health care setting is preferred.
