Evaluates daily production to determine quality compliance results (referred to as “patrol checks”); informs production leadership of non-compliance issues and initiates NG (No Good part) documentation to trigger corrective action process with Production Team Leader 2. Ensures accurate count of incoming raw material through physical count 3. Counts and sorts in-process and finished product to identify rework requirements and scrap and documents results, accordingly 4. Calibrates and maintains measuring devices (gauges); performs gauge capability studies; maintains inspection equipment in quality lab 5. Conducts qualitative tests (hardness checks, CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine), Contracer, Surface Tester, etc.) as required by established inspection standards 6. Maintains product traceability throughout the production process and with suspended and rework material by evaluating lots by date on a FIFO (first in; first out) basis

Westaff is looking for a Clamp Lift Operator in the Devens, MA area for Immediate Start!

Shift: Monday-Friday 3:00pm-11:00pm + OT ability to train on our 1st shift 7a -3p. The training period is approximately 4 wks. however, if the person catches on quickly, it could be less than 4 wks. This would be a temp to perm opportunity.

Pay Rate: $20.00/hour + $1.25/hour shift differential

As a Clamp Lift Operator, you will operate the clamp truck in a safe but expeditious manner to unload incoming rolls, move rolls to/from the corrugator as needed for production, accurately tag all new rolls/goods with proper identification and bar codes, and perform/document daily inspection of the clamp lift truck.

Requirements:
2 – 3 years of Clamp Forklift experience.
Ability to read, understand instructions, and communicate effectively.
Basic math skills and must be able to read a tape measure.
Successful track record in safety, attendance, and quality.
Enthusiasm for being an active part of a safety-first work environment.
Be available to work overtime if requested.

About the Role:

Join a reputable manufacturing company in Fremont, OH, as a Machine Operator on our 3rd shift team. We’re looking for reliable individuals with mechanical aptitude and a strong work ethic to operate and maintain various cutting and forming machines. If you have CNC experience, that’s a big plus!

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up, operate, and tend multiple types of cutting or forming machines
• Inspect workpieces for defects and measure for accuracy
• Monitor machine operations and make adjustments as needed
• Operate equipment such as lathes, cutters, grinders, and drills
• Perform minor preventative maintenance (PM) on machines

Preferred Qualifications:

• CNC experience is highly desirable
• Ability to troubleshoot and adjust machinery
• Strong attention to detail and safety awareness

Required Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Must pass a drug screen and I-9 background check
• Availability to work 5–6 days per week (40–58 hours depending on production needs)
