Westaff Hiring Machine Operators in Wallingford, CT! 

Training available for the right candidate with technical schooling, machine operating, or metal cutting background! 

Shifts: 1st Shift (7am-3:30pm), 2nd shift (3pm-11:30pm), or 3rd shift (11:30pm – 7am)

Pay Rate: $19+, depending on experience and opportunity for advancement 

 Machine Operator Responsibilities: 

• Accurately cut large slabs of metal (1,000–10,000 lbs) using precision measurements and metal-cutting machinery
• Process, package, and prepare cut materials for shipment
• Operate forklifts, side loaders, and overhead cranes as needed
• Load and unload trucks safely and efficiently

Machine Operator Required Skills:

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Experience in machine operations and/or metal cutting
• Comfortable using computers and basic software
• Strong understanding of basic math: fractions, decimals, measurements
• Team-oriented with strong communication skills
