Monday – Friday

8am – 5pm

$22 – $25 DOE

Duties of the Quality Assurance Technician:

• The Manufacturing Quality Technician is responsible for ensuring the quality of all products and processes in our elastomer fabrication factory.
• This includes managing non-conforming materials, handling customer complaints and conducting inspections.
• Customer Complaint Handling
• Act as the primary point of contact for customer quality issues. Investigate complaints, identify root causes, and work with cross-functional teams to implement corrective actions.
• Non-Conforming Material Handling:
• Identify and segregate non-conforming materials.
• Work with the production team to prevent recurrence and coordinate with suppliers for return or replacement as necessary.
• Inspections: Conduct regular inspections of the manufacturing process, from incoming raw material to finished product.
• Use inspection tools and follow quality standards to ensure compliance.
• Proven experience in a similar role in the manufacturing industry, preferably in elastomer fabrication.
• Strong knowledge of quality assurance methodologies and tools.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work well in a team and communicate effectively with various departments.
• Proficient in using inspection tools and equipment
• Ability to lift 25 pounds

Westaff Hiring Molding Machine Operator for Manufacturer in Meriden, CT!

Shift: 6:00AM to 4:30PM, Monday to Thursday

Pay Rate: $19/hr (based on experience)

The Molding Operator responsibilities are:

• Metal Painting/Coating, post cure, buffing, de-flashing, bonding, engraving, assembly, trimming parts
• Operate molding machinery and hydraulic press machinery
• Follow instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.
• Follow company policies and procedures to ensure compliance with all applicable state or federal laws.
• Participate in all required internal training.
• Performs other work as assigned within the department or in other departments as workload determines.

The Molding Machine Operator requirements are:

• Prior experience in a manufacturing environment preferred, aerospace related a plus!
• Working knowledge of precision measuring equipment such as calipers and snap gauges
• Basic computer skills required
• Physical stamina and strength
• Must be able to stand for 10 hours
• Must be able to lift on occasion
