Westaff is Hiring for Warehouse Associates in Stafford Springs and Ellington, CT!

Shift: 1st shift, Monday – Friday 

Pay Rate: $18 an hour 

Warehouse Associate Responsibilities:

• Determine the number of trucks to be loaded and delivery trips by running and reviewing the Open Order Report.

• Call customers to verify acceptance of abnormally large deliveries.

• Ensure the accuracy of “ship to” information and quantities on the Bill of Lading (BOL) at the dock.

• Identify small orders that can be shipped via UPS and provide a list to Customer Service for verification and tracking.

• Provide yard associates with items of outside materials that need to be collected and staged for loading.

• Stage all material in designated areas using reports for accuracy.

• Submit pulling reports and loading paperwork to data entry.

• Perform the loading process efficiently and safely.

• Clean and maintain a tidy work area at the end of each shift, including trash removal and sweeping.

• Maintain open communication with supervisors, peers, and departments involved in shipping operations.

• Ensure the correct vehicle is used each day for loading purposes

Warehouse Associate:

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Basic computer and documentation skills for reporting and tracking.

• Prior warehouse or logistics experience preferred, but not required.

• Ability to lift, move, and stage materials as needed.

SUMMARY
The Cell Leader is responsible for ensuring Picker/Packers are fully stocked with required materials for processing cable ties. The Cell Leader is responsible for quality checks of finished product, ensuring efficient operation of equipment and output of picker/packers.

Job Duties:
• Stocking packaging materials (i.e.: Bags, Boxes, Labels, etc.…) at each workstation
• Setting up and maintaining production equipment (i.e.: Sealers, Tape Dispensers, Grinders, Water Dispensers, Scales, Inspection lights, etc.…), as required

• Visually inspecting product as defined in our established Quality Standards
• Counting product and packing it into cartons, date coding / sealing / labeling / skidding completed product.
• Train new Picker / Packers, as directed by the Shift Supervisor

These Associates will be responsible for Assembling, Machine Operating, Packaging,  Labeling, Plating and Inspecting product. They will work in a rotating manufacturing environment. 

Hours: 6am-2:30pm Monday – Friday 

Pay: starting at $17/hr 

Manufacturing Associates will be responsible for: 

• Assembling product 
• Machine Operating 
• Plating, deburring, polishing
• Inspecting product
• Operate automatic key cutting, cylinder shell loading and plug loading machines and equipment as required.
• Assemble shells and plugs, pack and label all types of cylinders
• Make necessary adjustments to machinery 
• Follow key list/interpret complex orders to determine selection of proper assembly sequence
• Follow safety instructions 
• Keep work stations clean and orderly 

Manufacturing Associates are required to have: 

• 1-3 years previous experience in manufacturing setting
• Experience with Assembly, machine operating, or any production/ rotating shift work 
• Use a variety of hand tools such as pliers, mallets, and drill presses for padlocks
• Requires a high school or trade school diploma or equivalent manufacturing work experience
