Westaff Hiring Inventory Control Associate in Wallingford, CT!

Hours: 7am-3:30pm, M-F (some OT may be required)
Pay: based on experience level

Metal manufacturer seeking detail-oriented Inventory Control Specialist to support our Receiving and Manufacturing operations. This role plays a critical part in maintaining accurate raw material, WIP, and finished goods inventory, ensuring smooth production flow and supporting on-time delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate inventory for raw materials, WIP, and finished goods.
• Lead cycle counts and investigate/resolve inventory variances.
• Ensure alignment between production output and incoming material reporting.
• Collaborate with Operations, Quality, and Sales teams to support daily production needs.
• Assist in maintaining accurate data within SAP/MRP systems (experience preferred).

Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Warehouse experience, including forklift operation, packing, measuring, and inventory handling.
• Basic math, reading, and computer skills.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to understand equipment, tolerances, and related manufacturing processes.
• Strong safety mindset.

Preferred:

• Experience with SAP/MRP systems.
• Understanding of how inventory impacts production workflow and financial results.
