Term: Permanent

Pay: $18 – $20/hour DOE

 

Notes:

– NOT a VA location

– Area coverage: 100 Miles in all directions

 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Adheres to company policies and procedures in regards to using personnel protective safety equipment

  • Assists with updating respiratory grid

  • Available for on-call assignments as needed

  • Completes all necessary delivery forms and paperwork including, but not limited to invoices, work orders, manifests and logs, patient care instructions, route sheets, etc.

  • Coordinates verification of Medicare, Medicaid, and private insurance coverage information

  • Delivers, sets up and maintains equipment at the delivery address using company vehicle

  • Develops and maintains working knowledge of current products and services offered by the company and all applicable governmental regulations

  • Educates the patient and/or caregiver on the safe use and maintenance of the delivered items

  • Maintains assigned company vehicle in a clean and safe working condition

  • Manages all aspects of intake: answering the phone and receiving faxes, collecting patient and referral source information, data input into IMBS, printing tickets, assembling charts and processing paperwork

  • Prepares CMNs/SOPs for Sales Reps and documents on tracking log

  • Prepares complete and accurate files for Billing Department

  • Prepares tickets for daily routes

  • Provides service for walk-in patients

  • Travel via company vehicle to patient’s homes for set-ups and reoccurring delivery

 

Qualifications:

Employment is contingent on

  • Background investigation (company-wide)
  • Drug screen (when applicable for the position)
  • Valid driver’s license in state of residence with a clean driving record (when applicable for the position)
 
Education and/or Experience
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent, required
  • Experience with medical equipment, preferred
  • One year of related work experience, preferred
  • Medical terminology, preferred
  • Delivery experience (with service or home set of some capacity)

 

Skills and Competencies
  • Accurately perform simple mathematical calculation
  • Maintain confidentiality, discretion and caution when handling sensitive information
  • Work independently and as part of a team
  • Microsoft applications; Outlook, Word and Excel
  • Office equipment; fax machine, copier, printer, phone and computer and/or tablet
  • Mechanically inclined for the repair and troubleshooting of equipment
  • Successfully demonstrates loading, unloading and proper tie down procedures as per company policy of transported cargo
  • Understands use of all applicable home respiratory equipment and supplies
  • Ability to write up reports (as seen in positions that install services or products in customer homes)

Primary Responsibilities of the Tool Repair Machinist:

Working both independently and with guidance from the Engineering/Tool Shop staff, will perform a wide variety of tasks requiring a degree of skill.
Those tasks will include but are not limited to assembly and fabrication of trim dies, repair/maintenance of existing tools, assist with equipment and tool fabrication/upgrades as needed. Will work from prints and verbal instructions to machine tight tolerance tooling.

 

Normal Duties of the Tool Repair Machinist:

Assemble new tooling and dies from machined subcomponents.

Sharpen and troubleshoot trim tools to make sure they meet print requirements and cut consistently.

Following safe work practices, perform tight tolerance machining of tools using typical toolroom equipment such as lathes, mills and surface grinders.Maintain associated paperwork to support quality systems.

Maintain reasonable stocks of tool steels and die sets to support business activities.

Work with Engineering to design and develop tooling and equipment upgrades to reduce costs, improve productivity or part
manufacturability.

May be required to work with outside vendors and contractors.

May be required to assist with equipment installations and upgrades.

Other duties as assigned.

 

Normal Working Conditions for the Tool Repair Machinist:

Will be exposed to oils, coolants, greases, maintenance and production chemicals.

High temperatures, tight working spaces, changing priorities and time restraints will not be unusual.

 

Required Skills, Education and Experience of the Tool Repair Machinist:

Must have demonstrable knowledge of toolmaking and machining.This knowledge will include but not be limited to the safe operation of lathes, mills, surface grinders.

Good shop math skills, ability to read blueprints and a good team player able to interface in a positive manner with co-workers, and work with a minimum of supervision.

Must be able to read prints and sketches, understand tolerances and their effects on machining parts.

Should be familiar with secondary finishing operations such as heat treating and tempering and their effects on parts so as to take those operations into consideration when fabricating tooling.

 

Should have a combination of education and experience as follows:

Completion of an accredited apprenticeship program and 1 year experience in tool fabrication, or 2 year degree or certificate in tooling/machining from a recognized education organization and 1-3 years increasing experience
or 4 – 6 years increasing experience in a tool room environment.

Or Accepted as a Tool Repair Apprentice

1. Training in shop math, tooling theory, blueprint reading and basic machine operation required.

2. Training to be provided by area supervisor and lead person.

3. Advancement from Apprentice to Tool Repair /Machinist dependent on successful completion of studies.

  • Make adjustments to controls for heat, pad pressure, ram pressure and time as referenced per work instruction; or, by issuing temporary ECNs.
  • Perform a variety of hand and machine operations to load, unload and operate single stage, single or multiple cavity hydraulic compression presses to shape and imprint patterns fabric materials.
  • Make necessary visual parts inspections.
  • Have first and subsequent pieces inspected.
  • Visually check parts prior to and at completion of machine or hand operations.
  • Separate bad or questionable rejects.
  • Count, identify, box, pack or stack completed work or items to be further processed and move to holding area.
  • Perform various hand operations to trim excess materials.

 

SECONDARY FUNCTIONS OF THE 3RD SHIFT PREFORM MACHINE OPERATOR

  • As required or as necessitated by work loads or (un)availability of personnel operate clicker machine or fabric cutter operation
  • Complete work sheets and work travellers, note job and job number, times worked, machines used, number of items completed, reject counts and other information.
  • Move materials as necessary in the performance of duties or as directed.
  • Detect and report improper operation of faulty equipment and questionable conditions to the supervisor.

MACHINIST RESPONSIBILITIES:
