Summary for the Machine Operator:

Operates computer numerical control machines to cut, shape or form metal work pieces to specifications and performs all duties of Machine Operators by performing the following duties:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities for the Machine Operator include the following:

• Other duties may be assigned
• Reviews specifications to determine machining sequence, check dimension of parts, blueprints and operate machine.
• Works to production schedule
• Observes and listens to machine operation to detect malfunctions such as work or damaged cutting tools.
• Analyzes any production difficulties and reports same to the CNC Specialist or Production Supervisor.
• Measures for conformance to specifications using micrometers, calipers, functional gages and blueprints.
• Maintains required paperwork (i.e.: production logs, scrap tickets, etc.)
• Notifies CNC Specialist 2, CNC Specialist 3 or Supervisor of job completion or of any discrepancies.

Pay: $18.50-$30, based on experience

Hours: Full Time, Monday-Friday, 7:00am-3:30pm

The Cutter/ Grinder Operator will be responsible for:

• Responsible for sharpening various types of milling cutters, drills, taps or turning tools as required.
• Manufacturing special form relieved cutters, and maintaining inventory of cutter grinding supplies.
• Perform routine maintenance on equipment and determine when and what kind of maintenance is needed.
• Maintains quality standards and records quality results.

Cutter/ Grinder Operator Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• 1-3 years experience in grinder, cutting, or machine operating
• Experience with manual grinding, blueprint reading, micrometers/calipers, optical comparator
• leadership experience to help facilitate work culture in the shop

1st shift: 7:00-3:30pm Monday- Friday

Starting pay: $25-30/ based on experience 

Heat Treat Operator Requirements: 

• Load/unload furnaces
• Monitor temperature cycles

• Able to load and unload trays that weigh about 30-40lbs
