Westaff is looking for a warehouse forklift operator in the Norwood, MA area for Immediate Start!

Shift: Two shifts available:

1^st shift: 5:00am-5:00pm Monday-Friday and Saturdays as needed

2^nd shift: 5:00pm-5:00am Monday-Friday and Saturdays as needed

Pay: $18-$19/hour Depending on Shift

Location: Norwood, MA

The Warehouse Forklift Operator will process receipt, storage, and shipment of finished goods and raw materials. This role is also responsible for staging materials for production, moving materials to and from the production floor, and maintaining an environment of safety and food safety. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Off load all inbound freight and maintains written documentation of the transactions.
• Verify accuracy of inbound freight bills and signs for the materials.
• Post receipt or movement of any product to NAV ERP system
• Stage all material needed to successfully mix, produce and package products on all manufacturing lines, ensuring    that production is not interrupted for lack of materials
• Store or ship all finished goods product from designated production area
• Receive returns from production and re-racks according to need
• Notify Warehouse Lead or Warehouse Supervisor for inspection of incoming product.
• Rotate product date codes during pulling operations.

EXPERIENCE: 

• Minimum of two years’ experience in shipping, receiving required
• Experienced in put-away / retrieval of pallets in racked warehouses required
• Experience in loading & unloading trucks required
• Familiar with warehouse documentation and processing requirements required
• Average computer skills and knowledge of ERP systems required
• Ability to read, write and take directions in English required; Bilingual in Spanish and/or Portuguese preferred
• Knowledge of Manufacturing Inventory Management Systems required

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND ENVIRONMENT: 

• Able to stand for prolonged periods of time
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• This position requires the ability to withstand working in a cold environment and stand for extended periods of time.

Westaff is Hiring for a 2nd shift Saw Operator in Farmington, CT!

Shift: Monday – Friday, 3:30pm – 1:00am 

Pay Rate: $22 an hour 

Position Overview:

Saw Operator is responsible for operating the cut-off saw to manufacture a variety of aluminum package parts. The role requires precision and a high attention to detail to ensure efficient material usage and quality. 

Saw Operator Responsibilities:

• Operate cut-off saws according to operations, sequence sheets, cut sheets, or instructions from supervisors/leaders.
• Select appropriate extrusions from storage, position correctly on the saw table, and activate the machine to cut various aluminum parts. 
• Adjust saw setting for depth of cuts and set machines to automatic cycles to maximize material, based off required cuts. 
• Separate and organize parts as specified, report issues to supervisors/leaders. 
• Clean and lubricate machines regularly, maintaining appropriate oil and/or coolant levels.   
• Transport finished assemblies to designated areas and prepare them for shipment as required. 
• Maintain a clean and organized work space, adhering to safety and efficiency standards. 

Saw Operator Qualifications:

• Experience operating a cut-off saw or similar machinery in a manufacturing environment. 
• Ability to read and follow operations sequence sheets and cut sheets. 
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. 
• Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
• Physical ability to stand for long periods of time ad lift up to 50 lbs. 
• Adaptability to new processes and technologies.
