Senior Automation Engineer

Salary: $115,000 – $135,000 DOE

Senior Automation Engineer for a leading manufacturing facility. This leadership role will drive automation and modernization initiatives throughout the plant while leading the Innovation Team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in industrial automation, project management, and manufacturing process improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and mentor the Innovation Team in automation and modernization projects.
• Program, troubleshoot, and integrate Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Omron, and Delta PLC/HMI systems.
• Design and implement automation upgrades on legacy manufacturing equipment.
• Modernize machinery with HMIs, motion controls, SCADA systems, and data collection capabilities.
• Implement sensors and tracking systems to provide real-time machine performance and maintenance data.
• Manage automation projects from design and procurement through installation, commissioning, and safety validation.
• Work closely with Engineering and Operations teams to improve productivity, reliability, and ROI.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of industrial automation engineering experience; manufacturing experience preferred.
• At least 2 years of leadership, project management, or team supervision experience.
• Strong PLC/HMI programming skills in Rockwell/Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Omron, and Delta platforms.
• Experience with AutoCAD Electrical or similar electrical design software.
