• Conduct annual and interim recertifications for project-based residents, ensuring compliance with HUD and LIHTC guidelines.

• Calculate rent and Housing Assistance Payments (HAP) using HUD regulations and internal software systems (e.g., Yardi).
• Issue rent change notices and update tenant files accordingly.

The requirements of the Affordable Housing Recertification Specialist are:

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in HUD housing programs, Section 8/LIHTC, or property management – REQUIRED.
• Working knowledge of HUD regulations, Fair Housing laws, and CT affordable housing programs.
