NOW HIRING: Facilities Maintenance Tech
Location: Alexandria, LA
Pay: $15.00/hour
Schedule:32 Hours / Week
(Availability needed for scheduled events, including some evenings and weekends.)
A local organization in Alexandria is seeking a dependable Facilities Maintenance tech to assist with general maintenance and upkeep of the property and grounds. This role focuses primarily on outdoor maintenance and preparing the site for scheduled events as needed.
*This is a smoke-free facility. Smoking is prohibited anywhere on the grounds.*
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and break down tables, chairs, and equipment for events
- Maintain grounds including mowing, weed eating, spraying weed killer, and general cleanup
- Perform routine property upkeep to ensure a clean and safe environment
- Assist with light carpentry work and small repairs as needed
- Help maintain tools, equipment, and supplies
- Support maintenance needs before, during, and after events
Qualifications:
- Previous maintenance or grounds-keeping experience preferred
- Ability to perform physical labor and work outdoors in varying weather
- Experience with basic hand and power tools
- Light carpentry and small repair experience a plus
- Reliable, self-motivated, and able to follow instructions
- Flexible availability for scheduled events
