Westaff is Hiring for a Machine Operator in Deep River, CT!

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Pay Rate: $19.84/hour

Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Machine Operator to join our team on 1st shift. This role supports warehouse and production operations by ensuring cartons are properly processed, wrapped, transferred, and stored according to established procedures.

Machine Operator Responsibilities:

• Remove cartons from conveyors and properly unitize them

• Operate the carton makeup area, including carton erectors, and route cartons to the correct plant locations

• Operate wrapping equipment safely and efficiently

• Drive a clamp/forklift to wrap, store finished units, and supply bottles to production areas

• Provide coverage for other warehouse team members as needed

• Utilize Oracle systems to transfer and produce units and look up inventory using handheld barcode scanners

• Validate carton tickets to ensure accuracy and compliance

Machine Operator Qualifications:

• Prior machine operation or warehouse experience preferred

• Forklift or clamp truck experience a plus

• Basic computer and handheld scanner experience

• Ability to follow procedures and work in a fast-paced environment

• Strong attention to detail and reliability
