Pay Rate: Starting at $18/hr + opportunity for advancement 

Hours: 1st, 2nd and 3rd shifts available

7am-3:30pm, 3:30pm-11pm, 11pm-7:30am

Machine Operators Will Be Expected To:

  • Precisely cut large slabs of metal from 1,000 to 10,000 pounds materials using the correct measurements and metal cutting machinery 
  • Process & pack cut metal materials
  • Operate forklifts, side loaders, and cranes when needed 
  • Load and unload trucks

Machine Operator Requirements:

  • Must be comfortable lifting up to 50 pounds
  • Proficient experience using a computer
  • Needs to know basic math such as decimals, fractions, and measurements
  • Must be a team player and have great communication!

Major Job Responsibilities

  • Performs typical machine shop and press operations
  • Operates a press production, braid winding, lathe or crimping machine in accordance with established procedures and guidelines

  • Accurately record number of parts produced both good and scrap

  • Removes parts when process is completed.

  • Monitors temperature of solutions.
  • Maintains daily production logs.
  • Physically inspects processing to ensure quality of product.
  • May be required to perform general utility work, material handling, assist with chemical handling and solution maintenance and record keeping as needed.
  • May be asked to troubleshoot simple to moderate problems.
  • Is responsible for quality of product produced.

This person will assist with Receiving, stocking and distributing material, tools, equipment, and products within the plant.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Must be Forklift Certified
  • Weighs or counts items for distribution within plant to ensure conformance to company standards.
  • Operates material handling equipment such as fork truck, electronic counting/weighing scales, UPS parcel scale and meter to transport stored items from warehouse to production or other areas within the plant for shipment.
  • Loads and unloads incoming and outgoing freight using material handling equipment.
  • Print labels as needed for product being sent to the DC on transfers. Responsible for entering the data into SAP at the end of the day for any product leaving the building.   • Expedite urgent cases consistent with company’s policies and applicable regulations and refer clients, as appropriate, to other human services agencies.
  • Prepare lease documents and submit completed files to the internal auditor.
  • Schedule annual recertification and special inspection of residents, as required, and maintain accurate records.
  • Schedule initial inspections of housing units receiving HCV rental assistance.
