Essential Duties:

• Checks generated drawings against engineer notes, design calculations/sketches, customer drawings and applicable codes, standards, and customer specifications.

• Makes additions to drawings and sketches as needed to complete detail drawings and Bill of Materials. Calculate weights & center of gravity accurately.

• Calculates and specifies dimensions of parts, materials, and procedures as needed to complete detail drawings & Bill of Materials.

• Reverse engineer components delivered to shop by creating drawings & BOM from measurements and observations taken.

Qualifications:

Knowledge – Technical Associate’s degree from an accredited institution.  Show evidence of strong math skills, including geometry. *Familiarity with ASME code Section 8, TEMA and API 660 Standards as well as applied knowledge of all aspects of NDE including x-ray, UT, PT, and dimensional checks is preferred.  *Demonstrate knowledge of fabrication shop practices and procedures. *Possess working knowledge of enterprise and/or database management software. 

 Skills – Must be able to use drafting AutoCAD 2D and solid model SolidWorks software proficiently. Must be a self-starter, purpose-driven, possess a sense of urgency, and be results driven. • Assemble components by examining connections for correct fit; fastening parts and subassemblies.
• Use tools and equipment to assemble sensor components according to technical specifications.
• Precise soldering of coils
• Resolve assembly problems by altering dimensions to meet specifications; notifying supervisor to obtain additional resources.
• Produce cables using various hand-crimp tools.
• Assemble components using various adhesives and epoxies.

Fine Solderer Requirements: 

• Experience in fine soldering under a microscope
• Applicants must have strong surface mount soldering skills.
• Experience with cable harnesses, electro-mechanical assemblies, and use of basic electrical test equipment is a plus.

WESTAFF IS ACTIVELY RECRUITING FOR A BOBST-FOLDER-GLUER OPERATOR (PAPER) IN THE DURHAM AREA

$24/$27 per hour depending on experience.

Hours:3^rd shift Monday-Thursday 7pm-5:30am.

                12 hours shifts/3 first week/4 2^nd week  

PRESS ASSISTANT DUTIES:

• Running any gluer safely, producing confirming cartoons at high rate of speed to achieve the production standards with minimal waste.
• Complete all hourly checks and maintain quality consistent with cGMP practices and specifications.
• Complete all productions and process control documentation.
• Set up, adjust and operate a variety of auxiliary binding machines.
• Inspect equipment for safety issues.
• Operate automatic adhesive binding machines (Perfect Binders) that contain numerous interrelated process stations that are fed collated sheets or signatures and preform such functions as vibrating, milling, roughening, gluing, covering and delivering or stack completed books, magazines or catalogs.
• Monitor quality, output and productivity.
• Oral and written communication skills a must.
• Keep work area clean and picked up.
• Handling large amounts of paper and paper rolls, load on machines.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines.
• Warehouse experience-building pallets, etc.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Previous experience in a printing environment preferred.
• Some experience in the operations of various hand tools preferred.
• Must be able to work in a team environment.
