Job Overview

The Laboratory Technician evaluates ingredients and finished products to ensure they meet quality specifications. This role conducts quality audits, communicates results to production teams, supports compliance initiatives, and participates in continuous improvement and problem-solving activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform laboratory and quality control testing
• Evaluate raw materials and finished products
• Support U.S. TTB compliance requirements
• Conduct quality audits and document results
• Provide feedback to frontline team members
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives
• Maintain accurate records and reports

Required Qualifications

• Minimum age of 21
• Associate degree in Chemistry or a related field
• 1-3 years of laboratory, quality control, or related experience
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Strong organizational and planning skills
• Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of an organization

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree
• Experience in the alcohol beverage industry

Physical Requirements

• Lift and move up to 50 lbs. without assistance
• Ability to distinguish colors, flavors, and odors
• Work in environments with fumes or airborne particles
• Ability to work 8-hour shifts and overtime as needed
• Strong attention to detail
• Reliable in-person attendance

Shift: Monday – Friday, 8am – 5pm

Pay: $95,000 annual salary, negotiable for the right candidate!

What You Will Do:

• Prepare and review individual, corporate, partnership, and trust tax returns
• Manage multistate tax compliance engagements
• Research complex tax issues and provide practical client-focused solutions
• Partner with clients on tax planning opportunities throughout the year
• Respond to tax notices and assist with audit support
• Mentor developing tax professionals and contribute to team success
• Build trusted relationships through proactive communication and service

What You Will Bring:

• Active Montana CPA license or Enrolled Agent (EA) designation required
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field required
• 3+ years of complex tax experience required
• Strong federal and multistate taxation knowledge
• Excellent communication, organization, and client-service skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
