Job Requirements:
RESPONSIBILITIES:

Pursuant to Montana Code Annotated 3-5-603, solely responsible for capturing and preserving a verbatim record of court proceedings using computerized recording equipment or a stenograph machine and computer-aided transcription software.

Set up equipment, conduct sound check, monitor operation of and dismantle recording equipment or stenograph machine in courtroom, conference rooms, judge’s chambers, or other locations as directed by the judge.

Maintain a complete record of all verbal communications and, to the extent necessary, to provide an intelligible record including nonverbal incidents in the proceedings.

Remind parties, as necessary, to speak clearly and one at a time to ensure the integrity of a verbatim record.

During proceedings, upon request of the judge or litigants, locate and read or play back portions of proceedings.

Maintain a high level of concentration and attentiveness throughout all court proceedings, regardless of disruptions and other unpredictable and adverse conditions.

Utilize computer equipment and software for preparation of transcripts.

Transcribe, proofread, certify, and distribute official transcripts.

Archive computerized recordings or stenographic and associated files pursuant to Judicial Branch policy.

Provide court reporter coverage for other judges within assigned district and other judges sitting on proceedings held in assigned district. Remain current on computerized court reporting technology.

Communicate with litigants and the public regarding requests for official transcripts.

Provide administrative support as assigned by the judge.
Qualifications:

Preference given to graduates of a post-secondary court reporting (stenography) program approved by NCRA and the Montana Supreme Court.

Experience as an official court reporter in a courtroom setting is preferred, but new court-reporting graduates are encouraged to apply.

Relevant experience (medical transcriptionists, paralegals, etc.) may substitute for prior stenography program completion where the candidate can demonstrate excellent typing skills, ability to operate and troubleshoot computerized recording systems, ability to produce transcripts, and understanding of court procedures.

Responsibilities

Drafter, to prepare, produce, and revise as required, fabrication drawings for shell and tube heat exchangers per requirements from the Mechanical Engineer and customer specifications, using 2D AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
Essential Duties:
• Reviews job assignment with Mechanical Engineer and references documents including Quote documents, purchase orders, customer drawings, and sales orders.
• Generates scale cross section drawing and detail views to check for sub assembly placement / interferences. Prepares detailed drawings.
• Checks generated drawings against engineer notes, design calculations/sketches, customer drawings and applicable codes, standards, and customer specifications.
• Makes additions to drawings and sketches as needed to complete detail drawings and Bill of Materials. Calculate weights & center of gravity accurately.
• Calculates and specifies dimensions of parts, materials, and procedures as needed to complete detail drawings & Bill of Materials.
• Creates / completes Bill of Materials incorporating engineering notes.
• Modifies drawings as directed by the Mechanical Engineer.
• Performs electronic file maintenance of drawings, calculations, et al. Ensures support data and documentation needs of internal and external inspectors are satisfactorily fulfilled.
• Sends documents to customer for approval through Document Control as directed by the Mechanical Engineer.
• Works with the Mechanical Engineer to address customer comments.
• Verifies design package has current revisions as listed on the Document Transmittal and Shop Distribution forms and releases design package to production for procurement and fabrication as directed by the Mechanical Engineer.
• Reverse engineer components delivered to shop by creating drawings & BOM from measurements and observations taken.
• Miscellaneous duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Knowledge – Technical Associate’s degree from an accredited institution. Show evidence of strong math skills, including geometry.
*Familiarity with ASME code Section 8, TEMA and API 660 Standards as well as applied knowledge of all aspects of NDE including x-ray, UT, PT, and dimensional checks is preferred.
*Demonstrate knowledge of fabrication shop practices and procedures.
*Possess working knowledge of enterprise and/or database management software.
Skills – Must be able to use drafting AutoCAD 2D and solid model SolidWorks software proficiently. Must be a self-starter, purpose-driven, possess a sense of urgency, and be results driven. Detail oriented with strong organizational skills, mechanical aptitude with the ability to multi-task, and a “can-do attitude”, are a strong plus.

Conducts Initial Assessment of Allegations to Ensure Child Safety
- Receives phone calls from mandatory and non-mandatory reporters of child abuse and neglect and follows an information gathering protocol to obtain sufficient information from the reporter.
- Gathers information from callers to determine whether statutory criteria for investigation are present.
- Assesses the call report and determines if the referral information warrants immediate or further investigation by field social workers and/or law enforcement intervention in accordance with statutes and the division’s safety practice model.
- Assigns priority response time and routes applicable reports directly to local offices to ensure identified safety threats are responded to in a timely manner to ensure child safety.
- Prioritizes and assigns referrals for field investigation; notifies management and field social worker of critical information and ensures an immediate response when necessary.
- Completes CI Intake Assessment form and required documentation in CAPS and Doc Gen in accordance with policy and procedure to accurately document the information in the report received.
- Contacts law enforcement as necessary for investigation of reports the division does not have authority to investigate and for welfare checks on children whose safety may be of concern; and enters reports from law enforcement when child safety issues are identified.
- Responds to requests for emergency provision of legal consent to treat children in protective custody, runaways, and foster parents requesting assistance.
- Serves as a central point of contact for the public and others seeking information to which they are legally entitled in regards to children in protective custody.
Field Support Services
- Performs background checks to assess prior child protective reports to assess current child safety or risk of harm to assist investigative worker in the field.
- Obtains critical child protection or criminal history from other states when necessary to allow for accurate report determinations.
- Checks and verifies information from multiple data sources to determine additional requirements; including escalated safety factors of the alleged victim and field staff.
- Performs check of Violent and Sexual Offender Registry where need is indicated; and determine safety issues and alerts field worker of issues which may create a dangerous situation when responding to the call.
- Testifies at hearings and in court when required regarding actions and responses to referrals.
Data/Reports
- Records daily activity regarding types of calls received and other performance tasks.
- Prepares monthly unit activity reports as requested by supervisor.
- Provides support and assistance to field social workers by engaging in continuous quality improvement processes with supervisors to ensure that Centralized Intake is delivering appropriate information to field social workers to ensure the safety of children, families, and workers.

- Ability to quickly learn about how processing and packaging equipment works. Mechanical understanding or manufacturing experience preferred.
- Self-motivated team player with ability to make decisions, communicate and problem solve.
- Comfort with basic computer functions and ability to quickly learn production software.
- Basic mathematical skills to make production calculations
Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 35 pounds and 50 pounds occasionally.
- Ability to bend, stretch and stand during entire shift.
- Ability to frequently kneel, squat, climb stairs/ladders, bend, stoop, twist, and reach overhead with repetitive motions.
- Ability to work in a variety of temperature and humidity conditions.

-Must be able to read and write in English
-Good communication skills
-Attention to detail
-Must be able to etch specific designs, words, and even images onto jewelry products
-Document engraving specs and parameters of engraving line
-Sets up the engraving plate per style and coordinates the computer with the script and font
