Westaff is looking to hire a Distribution Center Safety Officer for a Tire Company in their East Haven, CT locations!

Hours: Sunday-Thursday, Night Shift 4pm to Finish

Pay rate: $22/hr *Monthly bonus*

Safety Officer responsibilities are:

• Facilitate fork truck certification training
• Conduct safety training and inspection in multiple distribution centers
• Assist with sprinkler inspections
• Entering work orders for maintenance issues/creating purchase orders
• Fill out incident reports

Safety Officer requirements are: 

• 5+ years' experience in Leadership role
• Bilingual preferred
• Valid Driver’s License
• Reliable transportation
• Bachelor’s degree or 2-4  years relevant work experience in lieu of degree

Weight requirements are: 

• Ability to comfortably lift a minimum of fifty (50) pounds without assistance
• Perform repeated and repetitive movement consistent within the tire industry

Education Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or 2-4  years relevant work experience in lieu of degree
• Proficient with Microsoft Office
