WESTAFF is currently seeking packer assistants for a Packaging folder company located in Union, MO. This is a great friendly work environment. There is room for growth and advancement. These are contract to hire opportunities in a clean work environment. You will be bundling, counting and packing file folders and index cards. Lots of Overtime available!

Pay Rate: 1st Shift 7:00am to 3:00pm $13hr.

2nd Shift 3:00pm to 11:00pm $14 hr.

3rd Shift 11:00pm to 7am $14 hr.

Weekend shifts available from 7a.m.-7p.m. also a 12-hour day during the week

• Collating, sorting and packing materials

Position Summary:

This individual will be directed by Management to perform specific tasks as needed for production. This individual will be responsible transporting product, disposing of rendered product, and staging of finished product. They will receive on the job training to further themselves within their specific departments.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

• Obtain Knowledge of production SKU’s
• Effectively demonstrate proper use of pallet jack equipment
• Assemble/Disassemble VC-999 sealing station machines
• Palletize finished cases/pallets
• Assist in film/roll changes and product transfer
• Remove all scrap/trash from area and place in appropriate container for disposal
• Follow all safety practices, GMP, HACCP and SSOP’s
• Perform cleaning task and sanitation tasks as directed by Team Leader
• Notify Team Leader/ Manager of product, quality, and mechanical issues
• Willing to help assist in other departments as needed
• Complete other duties as assigned

Candidate Qualifications:

• Possess a high school degree or equivalent GED
• Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English
• Must be able to do basic data entry and basic arithmetic
• Must be a team player with a positive attitude 
• Must be willing to assist in other departments as needed
• The individual must be able to withstand working with fresh meat
• Prior experience in the food manufacturing industry considered a plus
