Description

Seeking IT Help Desk Support for a Local client in Covington, La. To be considered for this position, you must be a resident of St. Tammany Parish. Full time/ Temp - Permanent position. Pay Rate - $13-$17 DOE. 

Duties as follows:

  • Provide technical assistance and support for incoming queries and issues related to computer systems, software, and hardware.
  • Respond to requests for customers seeking help, asking questions to determine the nature of the problem, and walking the customer through the problem solving process.
  • Follow up with customers to ensure issue has been resolved.
  • Gain feedback from customers about computer usage.
  • Install, modify, repair, and inventory computer hardware and software.
  • Maintain daily performance of computer systems.
  • Run diagnostic programs to resolve problems.Run reports to determine malfunctions that continue to occur.
  • Handle back up processes.Resolve technical problems with Local Area Networks (LAN), Wide Area Networks (WAN), and other systems.
  • Maintain IT processes related to Help Desk responsibilities.
  • Train computer users.

Job Requirements

  • Must be professional in appearance and demeanor
  • High level of customer service at all times
  • 3+ years experience in hands-on IT/Desktop Support role
  • Proven experience as a help desk technician or other customer support role
  • Intermediate Windows 7 and Windows 10
  • Microsoft Office, versions 2010 through 2016
  • Ability to diagnose and resolve basic technical issues
  • Must be a resident of St.Tammany Parish
