Safety Director needed near Alexandria area!
We are seeking an experienced Safety Director for a direct hire opportunity with a growing company near Alexandria, LA.
Schedule: Full-Time, Monday-Friday 8am-5pm, with on-call availability
Pay: DOE (Depending on Experience)
Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain CDL driver compliance documentation
- Track driver physicals, MVRs, licenses, and other required records
- Ensure DOT and company safety compliance
- Investigate and document safety incidents
- Conduct safety training and support safety initiatives
- Handle reporting and regulatory requirements
Qualifications:
- Previous safety management experience in the trucking industry required
- Strong knowledge of DOT/CDL regulations and compliance
- Experience managing driver files and safety documentation
- Insurance claims experience is a plus
- Strong communication and organizational skills
