Westaff is Hiring for a Maintenance Mechanic in Meriden, CT!
Pay Rate: $20 – $23 an hour, depending on experience
Responsibilities:
- Assist with equipment setup, troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance.
- Test machinery before and after repairs.
- Support building maintenance, including plumbing, electrical, and general facility upkeep.
- Document completed work in the maintenance system.
- Communicate repair status and equipment issues to supervisors.
- Make machine adjustments to support production operations.
- Follow all safety, food safety, and company policies.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training preferred.
- 2+ years of industrial maintenance experience or related training in welding, hydraulics, pneumatics, or electrical systems.
- Understanding of preventive maintenance practices.
- Must provide own hand tools.Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work in a team environment.
