Alexandria, LA | Full-Time
A growing Physical Therapy & Wellness Clinic in Alexandria is seeking an experienced Medical Billing Specialist to join our team. This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday, with start times of 7:00 AM or 8:00 AM.
Pay: Approximately $18/hour, depending on experience, with flexibility for highly qualified candidates.
Responsibilities:
- Submit and follow up on insurance claims
- Verify insurance benefits and eligibility
- Post payments and reconcile accounts
- Resolve denied or unpaid claims
- Maintain accurate billing records and patient accounts
- Communicate with insurance companies and patients regarding billing matters
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of medical billing experience
- Knowledge of insurance claims processing, payment posting, and collections
- Familiarity with CPT, ICD-10, and medical terminology
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Experience in physical therapy, rehabilitation, or a related healthcare setting is a plus
