Building Maintenance Technician

Location: Southwest Indianapolis, IN
Shifts and pay:

1st shift: $24 per hour | Monday–Friday, 5:00 a.m.–3:30 p.m.
2nd shift: $26 per hour, including a $2 shift differential | 3:30 p.m.–2:00 a.m.

Westaff is hiring a Building Maintenance Technician for a manufacturing client in Southwest Indianapolis. This hands-on position focuses on general building upkeep, painting, and minor repairs.

Job Responsibilities

Paint and touch up walls, doors, and other building surfaces.
Complete minor building repairs and routine maintenance.
Use hand and power tools safely to perform assigned tasks.
Check building areas for damage or maintenance needs and report concerns.
Keep tools, supplies, and work areas organized.
Work with the supervisor to prioritize and complete maintenance requests.
Follow facility safety procedures and wear required protective equipment.

Qualifications

Experience with general building maintenance, painting, and minor repairs.
Ability to use common hand and power tools.
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
Attention to detail and the ability to complete work with limited supervision.
Reliable attendance and safe work habits.

Physical Requirements

Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and reach while completing maintenance tasks.
Lift up to 25 pounds without assistance; use assistance for heavier items.
Work safely in a manufacturing environment around ongoing production.
