We are currently seeking an experienced Lead Maintenance Technician for the St Gabriel, LA area.
Pay range is $35-45 per hour depending on experience. This is a Direct Hire opportunity.
Position Overview
The Lead Maintenance Technician is responsible for overseeing and performing the maintenance, repair, and reliability of company equipment and facilities within a fabrication shop environment. This role combines advanced hands-on technical expertise with leadership responsibilities to ensure all maintenance activities are performed safely, efficiently, and in alignment with operational goals.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Leadership & Coordination
– Lead and support maintenance technicians in daily work activities
– Assign and prioritize maintenance work
– Provide advanced troubleshooting support
– Train and mentor technicians
– Coordinate maintenance activities with supervisors and operations
Technical Responsibilities
– Inspect, maintain, and repair equipment
– Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
– Maintain shop machinery and tools (mills, drills, lathes)
– Repair forklifts, trucks, and mobile equipment
– Handle 55-gallon oil drums, repair air lines, etc.
