WESTAFF is seeking a Shipping & Receiving Lead in East Providence, RI for an IMMEDIATE start!
Pay: $18–$25/hr (DOE)
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:00 PM
We’re looking for a reliable, experienced Shipping/Receiving Lead to manage daily warehouse operations, coordinate freight activity, and support a small team. This role requires strong attention to detail, solid communication skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Schedule deliveries and pickups
- Coordinate all inbound/outbound LTL and TL shipments
- Oversee shipping and receiving processes
- Ensure accurate receipt, inspection, and documentation of materials
- Lead and support a small warehouse team
- Maintain organized, safe warehouse conditions
- Collaborate with internal departments to support material flow
- Conduct regular audits and uphold process accuracy
Experience & Skills:
- Supervisory experience in a warehouse or distribution setting
- Proficient with forklifts and material-handling equipment
- Knowledge of shipping/receiving procedures
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Strong leadership, communication, and record-keeping skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
