Job Opening: Shipping/Receiving Lead

WESTAFF is seeking a Shipping/Receiving Lead in the East Providence, RI area for IMMEDIATE start!
Pay: $18-25/hr depending on experience
Hours: Mon-Friday, 7am-3pm.
Responsibilities:
– Scheduling deliveries as needed
– Coordinate all LTL and TL shipments for both inbound and outbound shipments
– Oversee the shipping and receiving operations in a warehouse
– Ensure accurate and timely receipt of all incoming shipments
– Supervise a small team
– Implement and maintain efficient processes for receiving, inspecting, and storing goods
– Collaborate with other departments to coordinate the flow of materials
– Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
– Conduct regular audits
Experience:
– Previous experience in a supervisory role in a warehouse or distribution center
– Proficient in using forklifts and other materials handling equipment
– Familiarity with shipping and receiving procedures
– Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks as required
Skills:
– Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
– Excellent leadership and communication skills
– Attention to detail and accuracy in recordkeeping
– Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
