Job Opening: Industrial Seamstress
Description
Westaff is hiring for an Industrial Seamstress position in Lafayette, La.
Pay: $11- $15/Hour
Hours: Monday-Friday 8am-5pm
Qualifications:
· Previous factory sewing, or upholstery experience preferred
· Ability to read and follow instruction manual
· Able to read tape measure
· Able to work standing most of day
· Able to perform teamwork and maintain a positive attitude
· STRONG leadership ability
Responsibilities:
· Measure and cut rope, windows, and other materials
· Rope and tie shields
· Keep accurate counts
· Label and package items
· Perform quality control work
· Assist in gluing, organizing, and any other tasks that support sewing
· Handle job order paperwork
· Assist with inventory control
· Able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
· Assist with designing bags (calculating dimensions, etc)
