Job Opening: HR/ Admin Assistant
Description
Westaff is hiring an HR/ Administrative Assistant for an office located in Broussard, La. This position requires strong attention to detail as well as the ability to multi-task in a high traffic office.
Pay: $18- $20/ Hour
Hours: Monday – Friday 8:00am-4:30pm
Responsibilities:
- Discuss positions with applicants & onboard associates
- Verify I9’s
- Answer multiple phone lines while assisting walk in’s
- Correspond in multiple systems
- Heavy data entry & documentation for Client’s & Associate’s
- Schedule interviews
- Text interview & new hire reminders
- Issue 3rd party pay cards, counsel associates on company policies, insurance eligibility
- Scan & Upload paperwork
- Send Reference & assessment links
- Troubleshoot application issues
- Handle employee resignation & terminations via Client or Associate request
- Notify Clients of associate’s late arrivals, vacation or time off request provide Clients with excuses as requested
Qualifications:
- 5+ years’ experience in an administrative role
- Clear understanding of HR protocols as well as legal verbiage
- Must be proficient in Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Must have excellent Customer Service skills
