Job Opening: Lab Assistant (Production facility)
Description
Westaff has a temp opening for a Lab Assistant for a great company in Port Allen.
Hours would be Tuesday – Friday 5am – 3:30pm.
This is not in the medical field.
Duties:
- Working in a quality lab setting as well as on the plant floor.
- Pulling samples from packaging lines, examining bags and comparing them to spec sheets, then performing multiple quality tests in the quality lab.
- Must have knowledge of technology – being able to use computers and ipads, and will need to be able to operate testing equipment – some of which involves mixing chemicals.
- Must be able to follow SOPs/work instructions on how to perform tests, follow all GMPs at all times, and communicate to the QA team of any out of spec results.
- Responsible for cleaning tasks in the lab and in the retain area on the plant floor.
