Westaff is looking for Engineering Technicians in the Boylston, MA area for Immediate Start!
Location: Boylston, MA
Shift: Monday-Friday 7:00am – 3:30pm
Pay Rate: $24-$40/hour DOE
As an Engineering Technician you’ll oversee SMT production lines, optimize processes, and support continuous improvement in a high-tech, light-industrial environment.
.Job Duties:
- Oversee SMT production lines and operate SMT equipment
- Debug new programs and PD (part data) files
- Actively participate in PCB SPL runs
- Review and optimize PCB manufacturing processes to reduce defects
- Train and mentor less-experienced SMT operators
- Lead lean manufacturing initiatives within assigned work cells
- Support and drive 6S activities as directed by management
Qualifications
- 3-5+ years of experience in a PCB production environment (CM experience preferred)
- Strong knowledge of placement equipment; Mydata and Juki/Fuji experience preferred
- Deep understanding of the screen printing process
- Extensive soldering experience (reflow and wave)
- Strong communication and computer skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
