Westaff is hiring a Senior Director of Corporate Accounting and Reporting for a company located in Lafayette, LA
Pay: $148K/ Annually
Hours: Mon- Fri 8am- 5pm
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
- CPA designation is required.
- 10+ years of progressive experience in accounting or finance roles is required.
Responsibilities:
- Obtain a thorough understanding of the financial reporting and general ledger structure.
- Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end closes.
- Cash flow management and projections
- Budgeting and cost control projects
- Advise staff regarding the proper US GAAP accounting of non-routine reporting transactions.
- Oversee the Corporate Accounting, Reporting, and Accounts Payable functions.
- Perform variance analyses as compared to budget and forecasts.
- Work in partnership with the outside audit firm to manage all audit-related matters.
- Provide training to new and existing staff as needed.
- Proactively review internal processes and implement improvements.
- Proficiency in conducting in-depth accounting research and producing comprehensive whitepapers summarizing management accounting positions and citing relevant areas of US GAAP.
- Contribute to accounting and integration efforts for M&A activities.
- Establish and maintain accounting policies and procedures.
- Contribute to special projects as assigned by management.
