Accounting Clerk needed for a Warehouse in Alexandria, LA!
This position will last until the end of 2024 and has the potential to become permanent.
Hours: M-F 7:30am- 4:30pm
Pay: $16-18/Hourly depending on experience
Accounting Clerk Responsibilities:
- Provide accounting and clerical assistance to the Accounting Department
- Accurately prepare and maintain accounting documents and records
- Provide monthly, weekly, and ad hoc reports to Controller
- Record transactions into QuickBooks
- Reconcile vendor invoices with purchase orders
- Work with purchasing and inventory as needed to resolve discrepancies
- Receive and process customer payments
- Order office supplies
- Complete special projects timely
- Follow established policy, procedures, and applicable laws
Accounting Clerk Requirements:
- High school diploma required
- 2+ years of college courses preferred
- 3+ years of office experience required preferably in the Accounting field
- Aptitude for numbers
- Experience using QuickBooks or QuickBooks Online preferred
- Familiar with bookkeeping and basic accounting procedures
- Strong Skills for managing projects, records, and research
- Competent in MS Office and Excel
- Excellent Communication Skills
- Ability to keep sensitive information confidential
- Plan and execute diverse tasks at the same time without supervision
- Attention to detail
