Westaff is hiring for a Maintenance and Repair Technician for our client located in South Windsor, CT

 

Hours: 8am-4:00pm Monday – Friday

Salary: $22-30 an hour, Depending On Experience! 

 

Maintenance Technician Job Description:

A reliable, skilled electro-mechanical technician to preform essential upkeep tasks throughout the facility. You will be responsible for a wide variety of activates such as repairs, maintenance, and upgrades to ensure that the facility and equipment are in proper operating condition. Being reliable and self-motivated with a keen eye for detail is essential, the ideal candidate will have significant work experience, solid technical knowledge, excellent communication skills, and self motivated. Manual dexterity and physical stamina is necessary for this work. 

 

Maintenance Technician Job Responsibilities:

• Performing on site and off-site repairs on machines.
• Assess, requests and fixes parts and equipment as needed. 
• Install necessary replacement parts and equipment as needed. 
• Diagnose electrical  and mechanical problems and determine how to correct them, checking blueprints, repair manual, on line solutions or parts catalogs, as necessary.
• Operate a variety of hand and power tools to repaid, grease, weld, cut, change parts and complete tasks. 

 

Maintenance Technician Qualifications:

• 3-5 years of experience with proven experience as a repair technician or other similar positions, preferably in an industrial setting. 
• Working knowledge of plumbing and electrical systems.
• Ability to weld, cut, drill etc. metals such as steel and stainless steels. 
• Experience working with tools, including hand and electrical tools. 
• Ability to reach and utilize technical manuals, online information and drawings.
