Description
Westaff is recruiting for temporary positions for local state offices.
$13.20 starting pay
The hours of work are typically 8-5 Monday through Friday, but may vary.
Job Duties:
- Answers telephone promptly and in a friendly, courteous manner
- Assures all telephone messages are taken accurately and thoroughly, and quickly related to the appropriate staff member
- Serves visitors by greeting, welcoming, and directing them appropriately
- Notifies agency personnel of visitor arrivals
- Informs visitors by answering or referring inquiries
- Directs visitors by maintaining employee and department directories
- Maintains security by following procedures, monitoring logbook, and issuing visitor badges
- Keeps a safe and clean reception area by complying with procedures
- Supports continuity among staff members by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs
- Receives, sorts, and distributes mail and packages
- Assists with planning and execution of special events- including, but not limited to- employee recognition events, holiday parties, retirement celebrations, etc.
- Provide clerical support to the HR department
- Ensure reception area and front desk are tidy and presentable, with all necessary stationary and materials (i.e. program booklets)
- Restock complimentary items in lobby (i.e. candy, water) and kitchen supplies in downstairs break room, and request orders when inventories are low
- Maintain inventory of office supplies and request orders when inventory is low
- Miscellaneous clerical duties such as filing (physical and electronic), copying, and faxing
- Assist multiple departments with regular outgoing mail (i.e. videos and pamphlets, birthday cards)
- When asked, arrange lunch orders, travel, and other accommodations for executives
- Prepare communications such as e-mails, memos, reports, etc.
