A Payroll Specialist is efficient with payroll software with accuracies. A payroll specialist is excellent with numbers and can be trusted with sensitive information. A candidate with great communication skills and keen ability to interact with colleagues and executives both internally and externally with ease is our desire.
The goal is to ensure personnel receives the correct compensation in a timely manner. with a trusting rapport and time-sensitive fashion! This is an onsite, remote, or hybrid opportunity for the right fit.
Pay is DOE, ranging likely from $23- $28/hour in addition to a healthy benefits and compensation bonus structure. Remote/Hybrid as well as flexibility to choose from worksite office locations.
Responsibilities
- Gather, audit, process and evaluate staff payroll at various levels
- Prepare and execute pay orders through an electronic system to distribute payroll
- Audit management of hourly rates, wages, compensation benefit rates, new hire information etc.
- Prepare reports for upper management, finance department etc.
Requirements and skills
- Proven experience as payroll specialist or similar HR/payroll processing systems
- Solid understanding of accounting fundamentals and payroll process best practices
- Proficient in MS Office and relevant software (e.g. Kronos, ADP, QuickBooks) and various databases
- Trustworthy with attention to confidentiality and excellent communication skills
- Outstanding organizational ability with great attention to detail
- High school diploma or equivalent; BSc/BA in business, accounting or relevant field preferred
