Job Opening: Certified Vet Technician
Description
We’re seeking Certified Vet Techs for a local Veterinary Clinic.
Full or part-time capacity is available for those who are passionate towards animals and care administration!
- Ability to walk, bend, stand, and reach constantly during a typical 8-hour work day.
- Ability to speak and hear sufficiently to understand, give information in person and over the phone
- Assist receptionist with client/patient checking in /out of the clinic
- Ability to perform a basic physical examination of an animal
- Ability to recognize other potential health care issues
- Keeps records up to date
- Maintain all log books
- Understand how to maintain and use the hospital’s inhalation anesthetic machines
- Administer certain anesthetics under direct doctor supervision
- Position animals properly for radiology
- Maintain and care for all radiology equipment

Previous experience or training/education working in a veterinary facility
Must be friendly, outgoing, "people oriented"
Telephone and computer skills are necessary
Must be capable of cross-trained for front office receptionist duties that will be expected in the job
College or college equivalent education as required in becoming a Registered or Certified Veterinary Technician
Dependable attendance is required
Must be able to lift 40 lbs
