POSITION SUMMARY
Currently hiring certified Crane Operators that can operate various cranes within the scope of their certifications. The Crane Operator reports to the Dispatcher or Project Manager.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Remains in continual voice (radio), hand and or communication with Flagger while operating the crane
- Read & interpret load charts
- Assures that all lifts are within load limits of equipment and correctly rigged and inspects lift gear prior to use
- Participates in safety meetings; follows correct LOTO procedures
- Operates crane equipment to hoist materials and equipment in a safe and efficient manner
- Performs lifts according to lift plans
- Responsible for operation of crane used in heavy lifting and transport
- Supervises oiler and riggers assigned to job, assists team leader and signal persons
- Responsible for slings, cables, straps, and the crane prior to lifting operations
EXPERIENCE / CERTIFICATION
- Must have valid (NCCER, NCCCO, CIC) certification
- Must have valid driver's license with clean driving record; CDL preferred
- Must have valid TWIC card
- Must pass drug screen and background check
- Must pass written and practical assessment

- Regularly required to walk, sit, talk, hear & climb. The employee is occasionally required to stand, use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; may occasionally be required to climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
- Frequent audits as needed for equip. verification, key measurements, axle loads, weighing, etc.

The Rigger "A" properly fastens loads to prepare them for moving, using hand and power tools in order to meet industry & company regulated rules, policies and procedures. The Rigger "A" attaches pulleys and blocks to fixed overhead structures such as beams, using bolts and clamps, and controls movement of heavy equipment. The Rigger "A" holds a 3rd party accredited certification (NCCER/NCCCO) and reports to the Dispatcher or Project Manager.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Inspect rigging to ensure safety and reliability before engaging in hoisting or lifting
- Aligns, levels and anchors cranes and equipment
- Identify lift points
- Assembles and installs supporting structures, rigging, hoist and pulling gear
- Identify & attach rigging with basic knowledge of hitch configuration, capabilities & basic knots; attach load to rigging to provide support or prepare for moving using hand and power tools
- Connects pulleys and blocks to fixed overhead structures, with bolts, shackles and clamps
- Cleans and dresses machine and surfaces of component parts
- Controls movements of heavy equipment through narrow openings or confined spaces
- Dismantles, maintains and stores rigging equipment
- Manipulates rigging lines, hoist, to move or support materials, steel, concrete, etc.
- Signals or gives verbal directions to workers engaged in hoisting and moving loads to ensure safety or workers and materials
- Understanding of math applications; weights, balance & measurements
- Some travel required

Erect pole barns, red iron shops, and galvacon shops.
Requirements:
-MUST HAVE experience working in carpentry and metal industry -MUST HAVE sheet metal, trim installation, roofing and building construction exp.
-MUST HAVE your own tools
-MUST HAVE reliable transportation with valid driver license -MUST HAVE the ability to lift 50 lbs or more -MUST HAVE experience with heights and working on ladders -MUST HAVE a good attitude and be dependable
**Experience/Knowledge in erecting red iron shops a HUGE PLUS!!! Will pay the right candidate $17.00 to $30.00/hr
Work hours vary Monday thru Friday 7:00am-4:30pm with occasional days of working later and possibly weekends. We generally work 40 hours per week. Jobs are typically in the SWLA area, reliable transportation is a must as every job site is in a new location.
-Pay is DOE and after 30 days will be reevaluated
Pay scale is typically:
$17-$18/hr - 1-2 years Experience
$20+/hr - 3+ years Experience
$30+/hr - 3+ years experience in the job description listed above, 3+ years experience in erection of Red Iron Shops, 3+ years leading a crew of 5 or more
We are specifically looking for 1 person with at least 2 years experience and a lead man with 3 or more years experience.
