Shift: 5am to finish (10-12 hour days) Some Saturdays required

Pay Rate: $20+ BOE 

Diesel Forklift operator responsibilities: 

• Safely operate all-terrain forklifts indoor/outdoor.
• Inspect Forklift before and after operating.
• Load and unload concrete.
• Use of other heavy-duty machinery.
• Other duties as assigned by management. 

The ideal Diesel Forklift Operator will have: 

• Previous manufacturing, construction or concrete environment.
• Diesel Forklift certification.
• Able to operate a cherry picker, propane powered forklift, reach truck, pallet jack.  
• Heavy, repetitive lifting of concrete.

Westaff is looking to hire multiple laborers experienced with concrete for a company in Wallingford, CT!

As a Concrete Laborer, you will be responsible for assisting in various concrete construction projects. This is a physically demanding role that requires attention to detail and the ability to work effectively as part of a team

Pay: $17/hr to start, temp to hire

Hours: Monday-Friday (10-12 hour days) 5am to finish & Saturdays REQUIRED as needed 6am to noon!

The responsibilities of the Laborer are:

• Assist with the preparation and setup of concrete forms
• Pour and spread concrete using various tools and equipment
• Smooth and finish surfaces using trowels, screeds, and other hand tools
• Assist with the installation of rebar and wire mesh reinforcement
• Clean and maintain tools, equipment, and work areas
• Follow safety guidelines and protocols at all times

The requirements of the Laborer are:

• Previous experience working as a Concrete Laborer or similar role
• Knowledge of concrete mixing, pouring, and finishing techniques
• Experience operating heavy equipment is a plus
• Ability to read and interpret schematics and blueprints
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs – must wear steel toe boots
• Must be reliable and flexible to work required over time
