Experienced Logistics Associate

Essex Junction, VT 

We are seeking a highly reliable and organized Advanced Logistics Associate to manage the critical coordination of shipping and receiving for all raw materials, parts, and finished products. This role is essential for maintaining smooth operational flow, ensuring inventory accuracy, and safe movement of goods both internally and externally.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Load and off-load trucks safely using a lift truck or hand truck as a core function of shipping and receiving.
  • Receive materials and finished goods, performing proper inspection on designated parts upon arrival, and ensuring the accuracy of all incoming shipments.
  • Complete all documentation procedures accurately and promptly, including system data entry, filing of paperwork, and forwarding copies to required departments.
  • Assemble parts kits, pull parts for production orders, and transport parts and materials efficiently within the facility.
  • Ensure proper delivery of all materials and packages to internal departments and external customers.
  • Perform cycle counts as requested to maintain total inventory accuracy.
  • Ability to resolve material and delivery issues in a timely manner and effectively prioritize and re-prioritize daily work tasks.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, strictly adhering to all safety policies and procedures.

Qualifications and Essential Functions

  • Material Handling: Must have, or be able to obtain, a lift truck license.
  • Technical Skills: Able to read and understand blueprints and use simple measuring devices. Knowledge of shop measurement is required. Capable of using small hand and power tools.
  • Administrative Skills: Excellent paperwork, counting, and data entry skills. Able to learn and use associated system screens.
  • Team & Time Management: Must have good interpersonal and time management skills.
  • Physical Requirements: Able to lift up to 50 lbs., and perform physical tasks such as bending, sitting, and standing repeatedly.
  • Work Ethic: Able to work and interact effectively in a “Team” oriented department. Willingness to assist other departments as directed.

Weekly Pay

 

Schedule: Monday – Friday 7:30am – 4:30 pm

 

Responsible for accurate picking and loading out of orders.

Must be able to work the shift pattern as required by customer needs which could include overtime.

Responsibilities:

Ensures that the correct number and type of product is picked.

Transports orders to shipping locations or delivery platforms with material handling equipment.

Stencils, tags or marks orders as required.

Compares quantity, labeling and address with order to ensure outgoing shipments are complete and correct.

Accepts signatures for outbound as necessary.

Efficiently moves product into outbound delivery vehicles.

Maintains equipment and assigned areas in a neat, clean and orderly fashion.

Operates equipment safely and efficiently.

Complies with all local, OSHA or standards.

Keeps accurate records and reports.

Assists in physical inventories and cycle counts.

Ensures proper stock rotation.

Keeps all racking locations clean, free of debris, and stacks freight safely and per all OSHA standards Repacks or re-boxes cases per customer instructions.

Repairs and re-boxes damaged goods as required.

Operates shrink-wrap machine if assigned.

Can utilize RF scanning gun or basic warehouse and shipping software.

 

Qualifications:

Education (preferred level) high school degree.

Experience (minimum level of direct experience in a similar position) 12 months or more.

 

Knowledge/ Skills:

Must be able to read, count accurately, do simple math (add, subtract, divide, multiply) and write legibly.

Must be capable of standing and walking for extended periods.

MUST have Forklift experience with cherry picker and turret truck.

Cannot be afraid of heights
