Broadwater County is currently seeking a highly motivated individual for a Full-Time Elections Assistant in Townsend, MT!

Pay: $21.50-22.50/hr DOE

Duties:

  • Manage and maintain the voter registration system in Broadwater County
  • Assist Election Administrator in organizing
  • Conducting elections in the County to comply with State election laws
  • Work under the Election Administrator
  • Occasional evening hours may be required

 

Qualifications:

  • Attention to detail, ability to work within deadlines
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to handle confidential information
  • Excellent customer service skills

Broadwater County is seeking a Disaster and Emergency Services (DES) Coordinator in Townsend, MT!

 
Term: One Year Probationary Period

Schedule: Full Time, ¾ Time (32 hours per week)

Shift: Monday – Friday, 4 consecutive hours each shift

Pay: $25.05/hour

Benefits: Health Insurance, Sick Leave, and Annual Leave
 
Under the general direction of the Sheriff or Undersheriff, the DES Coordinator performs a variety of duties related to disaster preparedness, response, recovery, and emergency management coordination. This position requires independent judgment within prescribed standards set forth by Broadwater County policies, procedures, and applicable statutory provisions. Applicants must possess a valid Montana driver’s license and meet all requirements outlined in the attached job description.
The DES Coordinator is directly supervised by the Undersheriff and may work under the authority of the Sheriff and Captain on various incidents.

Economic Incentives Intern (Short-Term, Onsite)

Schedule: 20 hours/week, Monday–Friday (strong preference for Mondays & Wednesdays)

 

About the Role

A local government agency is seeking a detail-oriented Economic Incentives Intern for a fully onsite, short-term assignment. This position supports incentive-related programs that promote business investment, job creation, and economic growth within the municipality.

A core responsibility of this role is assisting with the migration of economic incentive data from a legacy software system to a new platform. The ideal candidate is analytical, organized, and comfortable working with data at a high level of accuracy.

 

What You’ll Do

  • Support and execute data migration from an existing software system to a new platform
  • Clean, validate, and prepare data for migration
  • Review, reconcile, and verify migrated data for accuracy and completeness
  • Assist with documenting data structures, workflows, and migration procedures
  • Identify data gaps, inconsistencies, and process-improvement opportunities
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned

 

What We’re Looking For

  • High School Diploma required
  • Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a program in economics, public policy, public administration, urban planning, finance, business, information systems, or a related field
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and spreadsheet-based data management
  • Ability to learn new software systems quickly
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Interest in economic development, municipal government, or public-sector data systems
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a professional office environment

 

Schedule & Assignment Details

  • 20 hours per week, Monday–Friday
  • Some scheduling flexibility, but Mondays and Wednesdays are strongly preferred
  • Fully onsite at the Washington Street office (20th Floor)
  • Short-term assignment (approximately 3 months)
  • Parking badge provided for a designated garage one block from the building
  • Pay rate: $19/hour
