Part-Time, up to 20 hours per week | On-site (some hybrid/remote flexibility)
Job Responsibilities:
- Maintain and update daily financial transactions
- Manage Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
- Perform bank reconciliations and verify account accuracy
- Process invoices, receipts, and vendor payments
- Assist with payroll processing
- Prepare basic financial reports (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow)
- Support month-end and year-end closing tasks
Qualifications:
- Experience as a Bookkeeper or similar role
- Proficiency in QuickBooks, experience working for a non-profit a MUST
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information
- Excellent communication and time-management skills

Front Counter Sales Associate – Shreveport, LA

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:30 PM
We are seeking a knowledgeable and customer-focused Front Counter Sales Associate to serve as the first point of contact for our construction customers. This role is ideal for someone with construction industry experience who enjoys building relationships, providing exceptional customer service, and helping customers find the right products for their projects.
The Front Counter Sales Associate assists contractors, builders, remodelers, and homeowners by recommending products, preparing quotes, entering sales orders, coordinating deliveries and pickups, and resolving customer inquiries. The position plays a key role in driving sales through product recommendations, cross-selling opportunities, and ensuring order accuracy from start to finish.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet and assist walk-in and call-in customers with product selection and purchasing decisions.
- Prepare estimates and quotes, enter sales orders, and process payments, returns, and credits.
- Provide accurate information regarding product availability, pricing, applications, and delivery timelines.
- Coordinate customer pickups, deliveries, and will-call orders.
- Generate additional sales by recommending complementary products and solutions.
- Communicate backorder updates and proactively address customer concerns.
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure all transactions are entered correctly.
Product Knowledge Requirements
Maintain a strong understanding of building materials and construction products, including:
- Lumber
- Roofing materials
- Siding
- Drywall
- Insulation
- Concrete products
- Doors and windows
- Hardware and related supplies
Additional Responsibilities
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with inventory management activities.
- Support cycle counts and annual inventory processes.
- Help maintain organized stock and accurate inventory records.
- Stage materials for customer pickup and assist with order fulfillment as needed.
- Collaborate with warehouse and delivery teams to ensure customer satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Construction industry experience or strong knowledge of building materials required.
- Previous sales, customer service, or counter sales experience preferred.
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Proficiency with computer systems and order-entry software.
Schedule & Benefits
- Hours: 7:00 AM – 4:30 PM
- Compensation: $38,000 annually (approximately $18.27 per hour equivalent)
- One free Friday per month after six months of employment
- Benefits eligibility after 90 days
- 401(k) eligibility after one year of service
- Approximately two Saturdays per year required for inventory activities
- Construction experience required
