Job Summary:

We’re looking for a dependable Welder/Assembly Technician to weld, assemble, and build components according to drawings and production requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

•     Weld parts and build sub-assemblies
•     Position and spot-weld components
•     Adjust heat, weld times, and tips for proper weld quality
•     Read and follow drawings, blueprints, and Bills of Materials
•     Understand oven orders and required parts
•     Maintain station pace and accuracy
•     Follow instructions and build stations correctly
•     Keep work area clean, organized, and safe
•     Assist other departments when needed

Qualifications:

•     Able to use hand/power tools and measuring instruments (voltmeters, calipers, spot gun)
•     Able to read and understand blueprints
•     Good counting and paperwork accuracy
•     Knowledge of shop measurements
•     Able to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform repetitive physical tasks

Responsibilities

• Using pre-assembled frames; assembling bottom sheets, insulation boards,

interior liners, sides, tops, and backs of convection ovens.

• Select required parts

• Fasten oven parts using appropriate pneumatic and manual tools, jigs, and fixtures

• Apply final finishes (doors, racks, and trim accessories) to all stainless-steel ovens

• Install assembled components in ovens

• Provide assistances in other areas insulating, welding, final assembly, blending, crating, etc.

• Must be able to read oven orders and understand which parts are required to go with ovens

Qualifications/Essential Functions:

• Able to follow direct instructions

• Completes tasks in a timely manner

• Able to lift up to 50 lbs., bend, sit, and stand repeatedly

• Knowledge of shop measurement

• Able to work with hand/power tools and read various measuring instruments

Essential Job Functions

Manual Machining & Tooling

• Set up and operate manual machines including lathes, drill presses, saws, and grinders
• Maintain machine components and ensure all tooling remains in optimal condition
• Sharpen knives, scissors, and steel rule dies
• Assemble and disassemble dies
• Sharpen dies using surface grinders and hand tools

Mold & Die Repair

• Perform basic mold repairs (repair mold marks, update date codes, make/change poppets, create simple tools)
• Perform intermediate mold repairs (re-fitting molds, fitting trim tools, finishing steel rule dies)
• Perform complex mold repairs (re-cutting molds, re-establishing closure dimensions, restoring relationships between mold components)

CNC Machining

• Set up, program, and operate CNC mills and/or lathes
• Select appropriate tooling and work-holding methods
• Plan machining jobs from start to finish, anticipating all required steps
• Fabricate complex tooling and components based on blueprints, sketches, or verbal instructions

Qualifications

• 5+ years of machining experience
• CNC machining, operating, setup, and programming experience
