We’re hiring an experienced Cherry Picker Operator for a busy manufacturing environment in the Southwest Indianapolis (46241) area. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys fast-paced work, steady hours, and operating equipment safely to keep production running smoothly.

You’ll be responsible for putting away inventory and selecting orders to fulfill material needs on the production floor. If you’re reliable, safety-minded, and enjoy working with equipment, we want to meet you.

Pay & Schedule

• $19.00/hour

• 1st Shift: 5:00 AM – 3:30 PM

• Overtime: Consistent 10 hours per week (often more during peak seasons)

What You’ll Do

• Operate a Cherry Picker / Order Picker forklift safely and efficiently

• Put away inbound materials into racking locations

• Pick orders accurately to supply the production floor

• Perform inventory movements using scan guns or basic computer systems

• Follow all plant safety rules, including PPE and equipment procedures

• Work as part of a team to meet daily production and material-handling goals

• Keep aisles, staging areas, and work zones clean and organized

Requirements

• Experience operating a Cherry Picker / Order Picker forklift (required)

• Ability to work in a manufacturing environment (not warehouse-only light picking)

• Comfortable working around metal parts, oils, and basic inspection tasks

• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and be on your feet for long shifts

• Strong attendance and teamwork

• Must pass a drug test and background screen if selected

The qualified individual will work part-time completing daily administrative tasks and quality assurance measures of the project. • Check-in mail (observation booklets and documentation).
• Prepare and mail observation booklets.
• Review the accuracy of data entered into the LDE’s Early Childhood Portal and cross-check with observation booklets.
• Receive and record observer billing (ensure observers enter data into EC portal, mail in booklet(s) with all information received).
• Scan and prepare observation booklets for review (data checks, appeals, etc.).
• Attend staff meetings and take notes, as needed.
• Provide support to the Project Director Early Childhood team as needed.
