Fiberoptic Assembler Job Description:

As a Fiberoptic Assembler you will play a key role in assembling and testing fiber optic components and products to ensure they meet the highest quality standards.

Fiberoptic Assembler Responsibilities:

• Assemble fiber optic components, including connectors, cables, and modules with precision.
• Follow detailed assembly instructions, engineering drawings, and schematics to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Utilize specialized tools and equipment to measure, cut, strip, and terminate fiber optic cables.

Fiberoptic Assembler Requirements:

Polisher/ Deburrer needed for Aerospace Manufacturer in Portland, CT

Pay: $17.20-$27, based on experience

Hours: Full Time, Monday-Friday, 7:00 am-3:30 pm

This position will be responsible for:

• Hand belt grinding various airfoil shapes to their finish contour and dimension.
• Deburring parts
• Finishing operations including sizing and finishing platform radii and platform surfaces, radius chords, polishing operation and breaking sharp edges as required.
• Inspection of airfoil contour, location, twist, t-max edges dimensions and platform dimensions as required.

Aerospace Finisher Polisher Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• 1+ yrs experience in Hand finishing/polishing/deburring
• Strong understanding of GD&T
• Skilled with inspection of close tolerances and complex shaped parts

The Solderer will be responsible for producing components by fine surface mount soldering using a microscope.

Hours: 6:30am-3:00pm Monday-Friday 

Pay: $18-20/hr based on experience 

Fine Soldering Associate Responsibilities: 

• Prepare work to be accomplished by studying assembly instructions, engineering drawings and parts lists; gathering parts, subassemblies, tools and materials.
• Assemble components by examining connections for correct fit; fastening parts and subassemblies.
• Use tools and equipment to assemble sensor components according to technical specifications.
• Precise soldering of coils
• Resolve assembly problems by altering dimensions to meet specifications; notifying supervisor to obtain additional resources.
• Produce cables using various hand-crimp tools.
• Assemble components using various adhesives and epoxies.

Fine Solderer Requirements: 

• Experience in fine soldering under a microscope
• This position involves hand soldering of surface mount components and fine wires in various applications other than circuit boards 
• Applicants must have strong surface mount soldering skills.
• Experience with cable harnesses, electro-mechanical assemblies, and use of basic electrical test equipment is a plus.
• Ability to solder one or more of the following:
  • Surface mount components with 0.4 mm pitch spacing
  • 0201 discrete package sized components.
  • Fine wires as small as 34 AWG and Magnet Wire

• Troubleshoots and diagnoses all maintenance failures.
• Uses assembly drawings, P&IDs and manuals to tune equipment for operation, uses electrical(VFDs, SCRs, motor starters) and logic (PLC, SLC) principles to solve equipment problems.
• Uses basic plumbing, metal working and general facilities and building maintenance knowledge as needed.
• Works with operating devices such as gages, RTDs, pressure transmitters, I/Ps and vortex flowmeters.
• Trains new Associates and team members on required skill sets for Maintenance.
• Maintains work area in a safe and orderly fashion according to GMP and Safety guidelines.
• Performs any other related miscellaneous duties assigned by Team Leader.
• Will be required to work with and train operations Associates on basic equipment troubleshooting and assist operations as needed with production.

Maintenance Technician Job Duties:

• Must have 3-5 years experience in food processing, working with standard troubleshooting and repair of production equipment with highly sophisticated control systems
• Must have good communication skills, both written and verbal
• Must have general mechanical, electrical, PLC knowledge 
• Has basic plumbing, metalworking and general facilities/building maintenance knowledge
• Has an awareness of and the ability to follow GMP and Food Safety guidelines
• Understands proper machine operating and adjusting procedures
