The qualified individual will work part-time completing daily administrative tasks and quality assurance measures of the project. This individual should demonstrate solid organizational skills, attention to detail, good oral and written communication, and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks while meeting deadlines under pressure. Responsibilities:

  • Assist with daily phone calls including troubleshooting with CLASS observers, verifying site level information and corresponding to Lead Agencies.
  • Help check the main CLASS email account throughout the day (make schedule changes, send observation orders, correspond with observers and/or sites).
  • Check-in mail (observation booklets and documentation).
  • Prepare and mail observation booklets.
  • Review the accuracy of data entered into the LDE’s Early Childhood Portal and cross-check with observation booklets.
  • Receive and record observer billing (ensure observers enter data into EC portal, mail in booklet(s) with all information received).
  • Scan and prepare observation booklets for review (data checks, appeals, etc.).
  • Attend staff meetings and take notes, as needed.
  • Provide support to the Project Director Early Childhood team as needed.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3-5 years of supervisory experience in a fabrication environment and will be responsible for assisting in the coordination, training, and quality assurance of shop activities to ensure timely and accurate job completion. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist the Production Supervisor in planning, scheduling, and assigning daily job tasks to fabrication employees.
• Ensure that tasks are completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with specifications and quality standards.
• Provide hands-on training and guidance to shop personnel for specific fabrication tasks as needed.
• Inspect and verify layouts, fit-ups, and other fabrication work to ensure accuracy and adherence to job requirements.
• Coordinate with the Receiving Department to ensure the materials are delivered to the correct locations to the shop for scheduled jobs.
• Monitor and help verify employee work hours and job time tracking to ensure accurate labor reporting.
• Act as liaison between production staff and management to maintain workflow and resolve any job-related issues.
• Maintain a clean and organized shop floor in compliance with company safety and housekeeping standards.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production processes and shop efficiency.

Qualifications:

3-5 years of supervisory or leadership experience required in a fabrication or industrial manufacturing environment, preferably involving heavy fabrication or refinery equipment (tube sheets, heat exchangers, etc.)
Strong leadership skills with a focus on coaching, training, and supporting production staff to ensure skill development and task accuracy.
Strong knowledge of fabrication processes, including layout, welding, fit-up, and material handling; familiarity with welding processes such as TIG, MIG or Stick.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and job specifications.
Excellent organizational skills and communication skills.
Basic computer skills for timekeeping, job tracking, or production software; familiarity with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word) preferred.
Knowledge of safety procedures and compliance in a shop setting.
Preferred Qualifications:

Forklift certification or ability to become certified.
Bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus.
Physical Requirements:

Ability to work in a physically demanding environment (walking, standing, lifting, bending, etc. for extended periods in a shop environment)

Schedule of the Forklift Operators:

Monday – Friday

Responsibilities of the Forklift Operators:

  • Ensures that the correct number and type of product is picked.
  • Transports orders to shipping locations or delivery platforms with material handling equipment.
  • Stencils, tags or marks orders as required.
  • Compares quantity, labeling and address with order to ensure outgoing shipments are complete and correct.
  • Accepts signatures for outbound as necessary.
  • Efficiently moves product into outbound delivery vehicles.
  • Maintains equipment and assigned areas in a neat, clean and orderly fashion.
  • Operates equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Complies with all local, OSHA or standards.
  • Keeps accurate records and reports.
  • Assists in physical inventories and cycle counts.
  • Ensures proper stock rotation.
  • Keeps all racking locations clean, free of debris, and stacks freight safely and per all OSHA standards
  • Repacks or re-boxes cases per customer instructions.
  • Repairs and re-boxes damaged goods as required.
  • Operates shrink-wrap machine if assigned.
  • Can utilize RF scanning gun or basic warehouse and shipping software.

Qualifications:

  • Education (preferred level) high school degree.
  • Experience (minimum level of direct experience in a similar position) 12 months or more.
  • Knowledge/ Skills: Must be able to read, count accurately, do simple math (add, subtract, divide, multiply) and write legibly.
  • Must be capable of standing and walking for extended periods.
  • MUST have Forklift experience with cherry picker and turret truck.
  • Cannot be afraid of heights

Qualifications
