Summary The Yard / Logistics Laborer supports daily yard and logistics operations by loading and unloading materials, organizing inventory, assisting with shipments, and maintaining a clean and safe yard environment. This role works closely with logistics staff, drivers, and warehouse teams to ensure efficient material flow and accurate inventory handling. Physical stamina, reliability, and attention to safety are essential. Key Responsibilities Yard Operations Load and unload materials, equipment, and supplies using forklifts, pallet jacks, or manual labor. Organize and stage materials in designated yard areas according to company procedures. Assist with receiving incoming deliveries and verifying materials for accuracy and damage. Maintain clean, organized yard conditions to support safe and efficient operations. Logistics Support Prepare materials for outgoing shipments, including palletizing, wrapping, and labeling. Assist with loading trucks and trailers following safety and weight distribution guidelines. Help track inventory movement and communicate shortages or discrepancies to supervisors. Support logistics personnel with staging orders, pulling materials, or relocating inventory. Equipment Operation (If Certified) Safely operate forklifts, skid steers, or yard vehicles to transport materials around the yard. Perform pre-operation inspections and report any issues or mechanical problems. Follow all safety procedures and equipment operation guidelines. General Labor Duties Perform manual material handling such as lifting, carrying, stacking, and sorting. Assist with basic maintenance tasks such as sweeping, debris removal, and yard upkeep. Support special projects or heavy labor tasks as assigned by supervisors. Safety & Compliance Follow all company safety policies, PPE requirements, and OSHA regulations. Report hazards, unsafe behaviors, or damaged equipment immediately. Assist in maintaining a safe working environment free of obstructions
